2011 Oscars In February
Gong show is even earlier next year ...
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has confirmed that next year's Oscars ceremony will move to February.
The event will shift back a week to 27 February, 2011, at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood.
Nominations will be announced on 25 January, with the ceremony to be televised live in the U.S. on the ABC Network.
Staged on 7 March, this year's Academy Awards saw Kathryn Bigelow's The Hurt Locker dominate the categories with six Oscars in total, including best film.
