Matt Damon has revealed that he is exploring options for making a movie about the global economic crisis with long-time collaborator Paul Greengrass.

Damon, who was directed by Greengrass in The Bourne Ultimatum and Greenzone, expressed his strong desire to make more films about current events.

Speaking to Collider, he said:

"What we have been talking about is a movie about the economic meltdown, and trying to figure out what the way in is.

"I love making these movies with him...and we're making them for pretty good budget so we can kind of tell it on a bigger scale."

The actor further claimed that he is willing to follow Greengrass "pretty much anywhere" to prolong their successful working relationship.

"Hopefully we'll be able to keep making big stories, but I'll kind of go anywhere he wants to go," he added. "I think he's a great director and I learn a tonne every time I work with him, about directing and about acting."
