U.K. tour to kick-off in Norwich ...

The Futureheads have announced details of a U.K. tour to go ahead in the spring.

The Sunderland four-piece will start the 14-date run at Norwich Arts Centre on 26 April, the same day that they release a new album.

Speaking to the NME, guitarist Ross Millard said that the new record covers a range of topical subjects, such as the world financial crisis and the war in Afghanistan.

"There's been a real shitstorm to deal with as far as the country's concerned," he said, before adding a caveat that the album will still be "massively positive".

The dates in full runs as follows:

26 April, Norwich Arts Centre

27 April, Nottingham Rescue Rooms

28 April, Leeds Cockpit

1 May, Middlesbrough The Empire

2 May, Manchester Academy 2

3 May, Sheffield The Leadmill

4 May, Birmingham Academy 2

6 May, London Scala

7 May, Gloucester Guildhall

8 May, Coventry Kasbah

10 May, Bristol Thekla

11 May, Exeter The Cavern

12 May, Portsmouth Wedgewood Rooms

13May, Northampton Roadmenders

Tickets will go on sale from 9am this Friday (12 February).
