Breakfast Club helmsman gets a dedication ...

Film director John Hughes will be paid a special posthumous tribute at this year's Academy Awards, according to Deadline Hollywood.

The Breakfast Club and Ferris Bueller's Day Off filmmaker passed away last August from a heart attack at the age of 59.

At the Oscars ceremony on 7 March, he will be given a special dedication separate from the annual in memoriam video montage.

Hughes has worked with many of the people involved in this year's Oscars, including co-hosts Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin, who appeared in Hughes's Planes, Trains And Automobiles and She's Having A Baby respectively.
