Belle & Sebastian have been confirmed among the headline acts for this year's Latitude Festival.

The Scottish band will join Florence and the Machine and Vampire Weekend as headliners for the 2010 event, which runs from 16 to 18 July at Henham Park, Suffolk.

Empire of the Sun, The Maccabees and Rodrigo Y Gabriela have also been confirmed as playing the festival's main Obelisk Arena.

The event will mark the live return of Belle & Sebastian, along with Florence Welch's first ever headline slot.

The Horrors, The National, Grizzly Bear, The XX and Charlotte Gainsbourg will all perform at The Word Arena.

Celebrating the lineup, Festival Republic managing director Melvin Benn said:
