A rare recording of a Led Zeppelin concert has reportedly been discovered at a car boot sale.

The bootleg CD features audio footage from the band's 1971 show at St Matthew's Baths Hall in Ipswich.

The recording, which was picked up by Vic Kemp at a boot sale for just "two or three pounds", features audio from the entire concert, including the band performing Whole Lotta Love, Stairway To Heaven and Immigrant Song.

Speaking to The Evening Star, Kemp said:

"I was going through a stand of CDs at the car boot at Portman Road and the guy who was selling them said 'you might be interested in this'.

"It must have been recorded by someone standing at the front with a microphone. You can hear [singer] Robert Plant talking to the audience quite clearly."

No official recordings were made of the show, but bootleggers later patched-together source footage from the concert into two CD releases.

It is thought that Kemp managed to find a copy of one of these remastered recordings.

"I've no idea how many other copies there are or if it's worth anything," said Kemp.

"It's just incredible that they played such a small venue - and it sounds an amazing gig."
