Odeon and UCI Cinema Group has backtracked on its decision not to screen Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland after reaching a deal with Disney.
Earlier in the week, the cinema chain confirmed plans to boycott the 3D film following a row over the length of time before it is released on DVD.
Disney wanted to trim the industry standard 17-week window before films arrive in shops to just 12 weeks in an effort to curb piracy.
However, the two companies have now reached an agreement which means that the movie will be in Odeon and UCI cinemas from 5 March.
In a statement, Odeon expressed its happiness at reaching a mutually acceptable deal with Disney.
"Odeon is pleased to announce that it will now be showing Alice in Wonderland beginning 5 March in its cinemas in the UK, Ireland, Italy, Germany, Portugal and Austria," said the statement.
"As a result of this agreement, Odeon is pleased to confirm that it will be able to continue with its plans for significant investment in new cinemas, in digital technology in 3D capability and the other exciting developments designed for the increased enjoyment of all its customers."
Starring Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter and Anne Hathaway, Alice in Wonderland is the latest big screen reimagining of Lewis Carroll's classic story.
