Banks Hosts Sci-Tech Oscars
Awards season goes up a gear ...
Actress Elizabeth Banks has been confirmed as host for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' Scientific and Technical Awards next weekend.
The annual Sci-Tech Oscars are staged to honour the companies and people who have made an outstanding contribution to visual effects, audio and motion picture technology.
On 20 February , The Details star Banks will present 15 awards to 45 individual recipients during a ceremony at the Beverly Wilshire in Beverly Hills.
The main Academy Awards ceremony will follow on 7 March at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, with Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin acting as co-hosts.
