Who? Influenced by Glassjaw, Every Time I Die, Underoath, Story Of The Year and Faith No More, Death Quit Dancing look to perform highly energetic shows, and are forever improving their sound and their performances.

Why? They bust their asses to promote the band and please fans, and anyone else watching, apparently: A fusion of live performance and the songwriting art.

When? Touring through Wales from 10 July to 25 September. See their various sites for dates & locations information.

Where? MySpace, Facebook, Bigcartel & Reverbnation.

Death Quit Dancing are a South Wales based sextet who mix-up all types of genres to create music with instrumental structures and memorable hooks.

Who’s bright idea was it to form a band?

Nick Lane (singer) and Simon Butcher (drummer) brought up the idea with some of us, and we agreed to it.

The right decision?

Definitely, as we love what we do and couldn't be happier.

Where do you plan to be in two years?

The plan for the next two years is to promote the ass out of our new EP No Rest For The Wicked and blast out the shows, as always. We will be hitting all our show targets and have an awesome tour too. We will also be looking into labels and proving our worth to them.

Albums or tours?

We would have to say tours. We love writing, but there is nothing like performing live to us, which is the most important part, even if it’s only the barman watching.

Art or money?

ART: Performing is an art to us, and we thrive on it.

If you could record with anyone, who would it be?

Ideally we would like to record with Every Time I Die as a band.

When you were kids you were obsessed with which records?

Meat loaf, AC/DC, Effiel 65, Papa Roach, Strung Out, Faith No More, Queen, Story Of The Year, Airbourne, ZZ top and Deacon Blue.

And what do you do when you’re getting on each other’s nerves?

Keep going until it’s all completely out of our systems. Band nights out are pretty awesome as well!

Has downloading killed off the charts?

Talking from experience, downloading is slowly killing off the charts. Albums being bought on iTunes are destroying CD sales, but it’s OK, it’s illegal downloading we hate. Illegal downloading has its upsides as it gives more exposure for a band, but it can ruin sales, and is also a breach of copyright law!
