Who? The Secret Faces are a powerful five-piece from South Wales, made up of gravely-voiced front man Wayne Morgan, Daniel Bryan (bass), Andrew Price (guitar), Jason Edwards (guitar), and Anthony Hicks (drums), who create a unique Indie/Rock sound.

Why? Having come a long way from ripping-up small local pubs, the band has an ever growing fan base, and will shortly be taking their musical wares on the road.

How did the band meet?

Andrew, Anthony and I had been in bands together for years, when Jason and Daniel joined. They were local lads who we met at one of our gigs, and we thought they could add something to the band.

What or who are your current influences?

The Jam, The Small Faces, The Who, Stone Roses, the Doors, the Sex Pistols and Nirvana.

Are they the same as your current favourite sounds?

I’m really into Twisted Wheel and the Rifles at the moment.

You make music because …. ?

We love it. Ever since I was a kid I wanted to be in a band. Now I am.

How much do you smoke to get that husky vocal?

Smoking is bad for you!

What are you musically most proud of, and why?

I’m proud of everything we do as long as we put in 100%.

Which X-Factor judge would you want as a mentor?

Simon, because he’s guaranteed to make you laugh.

What would you all be doing if you weren’t in the band?

Start another band.

Internet or mobile?

Mobile. I got the internet on my mobile, so it covers both bases.

What is the state of the nation right now?

Pretty bad, but it’s always like this. The politicians need to stop arguing and work together to sort things out. Watching the news is like watching Jerry Springer. It’s all a bit of a joke.

What do you do after a gig?

Have a beer and mingle with the crowd,
