Who? The Kut are Maha (vocals/guitar), Elvira (bass) and Jade (drums), who describe themselves as moody, indie and with a likening to rock! Following a first gig at the Pepys Festival, and The Kut as we know them today were on a roll.
Why? Because The Kut are about to hit the road and release a new single, and they deserve a listening to.
When & Where? New double A-single Doesn’t Matter Anyway & Closure is out on 19 October, 2009, whilst the first leg of the U.K. tour starts on 9 October with sets in London, Manchester, Blackpool, Leeds, Sheffield, Kent, Birmingham, Bristol, Brighton and Oxford. Phew!
I haven’t been to bed yet (Maha)! I, on the other hand, woke up in my apartment in my own bed (Jade).
What's the best thing about what you do?
We love music, playing guitar and singing. We also love listening to it at loud volumes. The best thing is that we can do that at gigs and to top it all off people enjoy it.
And the worst?
We did tear the roof open in the van on our first tour, so ended up cold, wet and we also had to pay for it! Other than that, sometimes it’s frustrating, because like working on our album, you want it done yesterday, but things take time.

Basement Rock
Your dancing style could best be described as?
