Who? A five-piece rock/indie band made-up of lead singer Leon, lead guitarist Luc, bassist Jimmi, drummer Lewis and rhythm guitarist, Tyla. Leon, Jimmi, Lewis and Tyla live a mile apart near Pontypridd. Luc is from the Cowbridge/Barry area.
Why? Because they love writing music and blending their individual influences all into one.
When & Where? Check out their MySpace. Their next show is in Clwb Y Bont in Pontypridd is on 1 November and is a pre-release party for the mini-album They Don't Change Under Moonlight which comes out on 2 November. It is also a warm up show for tour dates with Kids In Glass Houses.
Rhythm guitarist Tyla bravely bats the questions...
How do you prepare for gigs?
We practice in Lewis's little shed. We go over all the songs and different ideas for what type of set we could play.
What’s the tradition after a show?
We just go home if we are all knackered, but we also like to party, especially if we are playing Cardiff Barfly on a Tuesday night. They have an awesome clubnight there called Hammertime.
Who was the designer of your T-shirts?
Ben Griffiths from the band Save Your Breath. Check his stuff.
Are you going for it at Halloween?
We don’t have a gig booked for Halloween, but we'll probably find some good Halloween ones to turn up at.
What are the pros and cons of being in a band?
The pros are the fun of playing loads of shows in different areas with your best mates. It’s also a great feeling playing and seeing all your friends in the crowd cheering you on. A con is definitely the stupid arguments we have sometimes because we are around each other so often. We always resolve the problem, even if it is usually over nothing - which it usually is!
Tour or record?
I'll give you an answer after our tour with Kids In Glass Houses has taken place in November!
Who do you think will be the next big thing?
Straight Lines, Cuba Cuba and (YLWL faves') I Am Hope are good.
Coming to the South East any time soon?
We haven't got anything planned as yet. Hopefully we will tour more after Christmas and travel to more places in the U.K. I'm sure we will play there sooner rather than later.
What would you expect?
I honestly don't know. I have never been down to the South East so I have no expectations. I'm sure the people of the South East would appreciate our music though!
